Sexual Assault
I'd like to talk with you about something nobody ever wants to talk about out loud. Sexual assault. More and more cases are coming to light about women who are being raped, sexually abused or assaulted. No matter how far we've come as a society, we still seem to look at sexual assault as a woman's fault and consider that 'boys will be boys."
Neither of these statements are true. Women AND children are being raped and sexually assaulted every day and it is not their fault and for that matter it doesn't matter if they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, NO ONE DESERVES TO BE RAPED OR TREATED LIKE AN ANIMAL.
And men will behave like men: gentlemen that is, respecting women and children alike as well as other men and not allowed to think they have control over another human beings body or spirit!
We must speak up and speak out when we see hear about a woman or child being treated this way. And yes YOU MUST STEP IN to protect them! It is your duty as a man, as a human being to protect another human being who is being controlled or injured. And that goes for you women too! Many times it's women who don't speak up or defend each other. We need to have each other's backs.
At our martial arts Center, we practice Team Building, we encourage each student no matter their age or gender to watch out for one another and for other family members and classmates. God put us all on this earth to help and love each other, not give up or prey on one another and if you see someone preying on another human being it is your duty to speak up, call police or step in and defend them.
I've posted links to websites that are there to help women and children who have suffered from rape, sexual assault or abuse. Please urge anyone to find help, report and get counseling but most importantly tell them they are not alone, they should NOT be ashamed! Evil exists in this world because we keep letting it grow. God gave us free will to chose between Good and Evil. That is why bad things happen to good people. It's not God's fault or ours. It's because humans choose Evil. Let's chose Good and help others chose Good so everyone can all live in peace and be able to experience God's love for each of us.
